Licensed Psychological Practitioner
One of my favorite quotes is, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” This seems poignant in therapy, because no matter the situation, I believe we can always show compassion and kindness.
After graduating EKU with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, I worked in an intensive outpatient program for children and families for nine years, before taking a break to stay home with my children. After returning to work, I have remained part time, first working for a private foster care agency and now Parsons Counseling. I have enjoyed working with all ages of people in a variety of settings. My professional interests include anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and trauma. I have seen great progress with Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for those suffering from symptoms of PTSD. I love to see people feeling less anxious and more productive and fulfilling lives following our time together.
Most of my personal time is taken up with caring for my two children. In my spare time, I do love hiking, listening to music, reading and all things Harry Potter.
