Play Therapy Games Training
Are you looking for more interactive approaches for working with children and teens utilizing play therapy? This training focuses on therapeutic games that will assist in identifying coping skills that can be used to decrease the client’s frustration tolerance and increase the client’s self-regulation. Different games can assist in challenging clients, which allows them to increase their muscle memory while lowering their frustration tolerance levels by using their coping skills in the moment and then transferring this experience to other situations. Describe how to use a subjective unit distress scale (SUDS). Discuss how a significant historical approach in play therapy can guide your session. These challenging interventions can also be used with clients to reduce their anxiety, OCD, depression, behavior challenged with working with adults and children. This training meets the Play Therapy Skills and Methods criteria to become a Registered Play Therapist.
