Play Therapy is Fun!!
Counseling needs to be fun and interactive while learning coping skills. Come learn how in 5 sessions you can assist clients from 8-adults to increase coping skills that will improve your clients life.  Introducing 20 interventions that will keep your clients of all ages enaged, educated, and change their lives.  Clients report feeling relieved that they do not have to tell the counselor all their problems but that they can learn the needed coping skills through play therapy interventions as they tell their story.  Introduce these interventions that will take the pressure off your clients so you can learn more about them and their concerns quicker than through regular talk therapy methods. Through the Parsons Counseling Method we have a higher show rate then most counselors because we make counseling enjoyable, take the pressure off the client, reduce clients’ anxiety to be in counseling, and the method keeps them coming back for more.

About The Presenter:  Parsons Counseling’s very own Lisa Parsons, M.Ed, LPCC, NCC, RPT

Lisa Parsons absolutely loves being a counselor and a Registered Play Therapist!   Her passion is strengthening family systems by working with children and adults while empowering clients with coping skills that really make a difference in their lives. Lisa has created the Parsons Method that has been successful with improving client’s coping skills in 5 sessions.

Lisa has worked with children and families from diverse backgrounds for 30 years in volunteer and professional settings.  It was her desire to serve people from diverse backgrounds and those that are underserved that started Parsons Counseling & Play Therapy Center in June 2014.  Lisa loves to serve her clients by making counseling interactive through play therapy techniques such as sandtray, art, therapeutic playroom, and changing games that challenge client issues.  She is Madison County’s only practicing Registered Play Therapist. Currently waiting for APT approval to become a RPT-S allowing her to supervise others in play therapy.  She believes that counseling needs to be fun while clients learn necessary coping skills to heal and overcome their challenges.

It is her desire to have all of her clients LEARN new coping skills, HEAL from their trauma, and THRIVE in the future.
